Beacon Villages Journal
Comment

We have come to terms with the loss of our Tregony, so you are spared the gloomy pictures and music this month. That's not to say we still don't shed a tear when it creeps up on us unexpectedly but - time to move on.

I am afraid this doesn't mean that this month's Journal is going to be crammed with new things. I have been working flat out producing a DVD for Church House and it is now at the Beta test stage. In effect that means that Carol has looked at it (all 72 minutes of it) and has told me what is wrong with it. I have had to put it on hold for a few days while I try to put the April Journal together, then I will be back making the alterations, hopefully before the public opening of Church House next week.

And, I've not stopped moaning yet. For the last five days I have had a raging toothache which virtually makes my mind stop working. OK, so that doesn't take much and it's a welcome change from the booze but, from my perspective, it really is a pain.

Before you all start thinking 'it's his own fault, why doesn't he go to the dentist?' - I know. The problem is, when you have so few teeth left, you try to hang on to them as long as you can. I had this toothache all over Christmas but then it went away so I am hoping that will happen again.

So, my usual excuses about the lack of (my) photos. Again, it's my own fault. When I set up the seven categories in the Photo Album, I

didn't take my failings into account. I am OK on taking Animals, Flora, Places, Scenery and Various (I put that last one in deliberately because it would cover my mistakes). But, what I failed to allow for was that, being pretty unsociable, I don't get out to many Events and so I don't get to photograph many People.

I have been fortunate to have photos from Robin Tilley, Rosy Thayer, David Watkins, Sue Wonnacott, Tom Bell and others but I would very much welcome shots from anyone else, either for the Photo Album or for a Journal page on their own if there are several. Any subject but People or Events in particular would be welcome.
