It's not often we get any sort of feedback to know if we are doing the right thing or not . When we get an e-mail (and such a glowing one at that), we just have to publish it. Having a look at the site mentioned, it definely seems worth both putting up here and also adding to our list of local businesses. I am sure that a lot of you local bee keepers out there will be familiar with the shop, if not with the site. I even forgive you the three stings that I got last month!

Subject: your website's great!
Date: Tue, 29 Jun 2004 09:20:20 -0400
My husband, myself, and our 26 year old disabled son are coming to Devon to
visit friends in Okehampton in September 2004. Our friends have the
National Bee Supplies and we are very much looking forward to exploring
Devon and Dartmoor!
Your website is GREAT! We especially like the photo's, descriptions and
history of the villages. I plan to use some of the businesses advertised,
too, especially the walking and riding tours. Perhaps we'll even try
driving a carriage!
I am really glad I found your well-planned and easy-to-use website.
Sincerely,
Connie Quick

As many beekeepers are aware, National Bee Supplies was originally called Exeter Bee Supplies. The name was changed in 2002 when the company came under the new ownership and management of Bill and Paula Stevens who felt the new name was more reflective of the nationwide distribution of their customers. National Bee Supplies provide next weekday delivery of customer orders from Scotland to Cornwall, Wales to the Wash.
We make all our beehives from Western Red Cedar in our Okehampton factory which is a substantial site of around 15,000 sq ft. This is where we also hold our extensive stocks of beekeeping and ancillary processing equipment, which means delivery of your order is prompt and efficient.
Our dedicated team of craftsmen work throughout the year in our well equipped workshop to ensure our products are ready and waiting for when you need them. |
For more than 20 years our company has been recognised as makers of the finest quality bee hives and frames money can buy. Craftsmanship and quality remain the cornerstone of our company. |

We may be the finest makers of beehives but that doesn't mean you need a lot of money to buy one. Since the company came under the management of Bill and Paula Stevens, we have price checked our beehives and all the other equipment listed in our catalogue. Y ou may be surprised to know just how well we match high quality with best value. You can buy the best without paying extra! In fact, you can buy the best and nearly always pay less than you would spend with our major competitors.
