How does it happen?
Every spring the organising team get together, scratch their heads and ask 'so what can we do this year, to make it even better than before?' What follows is a gentle curve of planning that, come late summer, builds into a crescendo of wood gathering. costume and mask making, set building and painting, arranging the fireworks, story writing, music arranging, rehearsing and all the many behind the scenes activities that go into making the show a safe and far more enjoyable alternative to back garden rockets and sparklers.

The Fireshow team would like to say a huge 'thank you' to everyone who came along to support the show, especially as, this year, costs have risen dramatically across various areas. We are also indebted to the many local businesses and members of the public who help in so many ways to enable the show to exist in the first place. First and foremost though, the children who participated in the show itself all had a fantastic time, including making their own puppets which they wore on the night.

Do you want to be involved... ?
The number of tasks involved in making the show happen are vast; from making the giant puppets, collecting the generator, writing the script, singing songs for the background music CD, building and painting the set, creating the poster, sewing the costumes, to acting as marshalls. The list is endless ... the skills are either specific or none at all - just your time ... the satisfaction is guaranteed!
