I would like to recommend a book to the adults who visit the website

Ugly by Constance Briscoe

The book is a true story of the horror Constance went through when she was a child and how it affected her. Subjected to continuing abuse from her mother and stepfather from a young age she is to be admired for refusing to give up on her hopes and dreams while those around her turned a blind eye and did not question her home life. Although one of many children Constance was singled out by her mother and continued to wet the bed to the age of 12 out of sheer terror.

I have specified that it is a book for adults, as there is frequent swearing, but worse than that is the graphic descriptions used. However despite this I do believe that this book is a must read that will provoke anger and sadness in all readers.
