18th May: If you would like to play in the Netball and Football Tournament on Thursday May 18th, please give your name to Angela Herrod-Taylor (Class R) or Sue Wonnacott (office).  The Tournaments will be placed at school starting at 6.30pm. 
A raffle, barbecue and refreshments will all be available on the night.  Raffle prizes gratefully received!  All proceeds will go towards new high jump equipment for the school.  Supporters very welcome.

20th May: Saturday 10 – 11.30am in the Victory Hall.  South Zeal Pre-School – Baby & Children’s Table Top Sale Equipment, toys, games, books, clothes, crafts and much more!  There will also be a cake stall, raffle and refreshments. 
If you would like a table to sell your old toys, games etc. please phone 01837 840775.  Tables are only £5 each but please book in advance.

Dog Fouling
South Tawton Parish Council have rejoined the Joint Partnership Scheme which means that a dog warden will be making routine patrols in South Zeal with the authority to make on the spot fines.  A big thank you to all the parents who raised the profile of the issue of dog mess on our pavements and to the Parish Council for taking such swift action.  Peter Brotherton has also asked that if parents have other ideas as to how we can support the dog warden’s work then suggestions for other actions would be greatly appreciated.

Tesco – Cartridge Recycling

Your child will bring home a plastic envelope – this is to recycle any inkjet cartridges, which you (or members of your friends and family/work place) may have.  For every cartridge that is sent to Tesco, we will receive 10 vouchers towards our collection for ICT equipment.  If you require more envelopes, please ask the office.

We are still collecting the Nestle Box Tops and Sainsbury Active Kids vouchers.  From 6th March to 14th May vouchers will be available when shopping at Tesco – Please encourage your family and friends to collect these for us.  Thank you.

We are participating in this scheme to collect sports equipment – Please encourage your family and friends to collect the vouchers which will be available from 8th February to 30th May and send them to school (preferably counted and in bundles of 10 or 100 please!)
