a Kitten and a Box
If you read the diary last month, you will have heard how we were adopted by a kitten. I say a kitten but actually it is a voracious eating machine. It does three things eat, play and sleep. It eats to get enough energy to go mad about the house until it finally sinks exhausted into a long, deep sleep until it is time to eat again. We cracked the eating thing. All it takes is enough money and time to keep the cat food coming in. The sleeping was easy - our bed! But play? We wore our arms (and patience) out dangling and dragging his bug toy for him to pounce on. Then we found this old cardboard box, tore a few holes in it and threw his bug toy in it. It has become a kitten heaven for him to amuse both himself and our other elderly cats who should know better.
