Flower Festival 19 th - 21 st August 2005

St. Andrew Church Flower Team proudly present a flower festival entitled 'All Things Bright and Beautiful'. This will be held on the above dates, Friday and Saturday from 10:30 to 6:30 pm and on Sunday from noon until 6:30 pm . Please accept a warm invitation to attend this festival of flowers. While we are mostly amateur flower arrangers we show flair and enthusiasm for our craft and look forward to hearing your comments. During your visit to the church you may enjoy home baked refreshments or on Saturday between noon and 2:00 pm sample the delights of the B-B-Q hosted by Keith Redstone. If you would prefer to make an evening of it why not come to the 'Wine and Cheese' at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday (Tickets £5) and be entertained by Annabelle on harp. The Festival ends with Songs of Praise on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. There is free admission to the flower festival but all donations will support the reordering of an area of the church for the preparation of refreshments. We look forward to seeing you and hope you enjoy the weekend! I think you will agree these are definitely dates for your diary! For further details contact Wendy Redstone 840205.

Sorry I have not had time to write anything for August BV yet! Michael and I had two great weeks holiday touring the west coast and Highlands of Scotland - did over 2000 miles! Stayed in lots of B&B's. Lets just say that standards varied...must tell you about the one with the pet snake in the dining room and parakeet in the kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!!I Just wish I hadn't had the mueslifor breakfast!

We returned to a fantastic week end at the Dartmoor Festival and I'm off in half an hour to Plymouth for four days! Next week is busy also as there will be lots of hard work in the run up to the Flower Festival 19th - 21st August. At this rate of going it could be September before you get 'words'!
