Out and about in June

It was so misty for Belstone Cricket Club Car Boot Sale on 25 June that you couldn't see one side of the field from the other. Nevertheless 20 'booters' turned up and £210 was raised for the Club. On the cricket side Belstone are just two points behind Tedburn St Mary at the top of the Buckley Cup at the half way stage of the competition - both have played four, with three wins. In the South Devon League Belstone are doing well, also with three wins out of four games.

Barry Woods had an unexpected surprise as he delivered milk at Tordown on Sunday 26 June - he came across the famous Naked Rambler heading along the lane towards Belstone en route to John O'Groats.

(June 15,11:36 AM ET LONDON (Reuters)
A 46-year-old former Royal Marine who braved 14 arrests and five months in jail to walk the length of Britain wearing nothing but his boots sets out on Thursday to repeat the naked journey
-- and this time with his girlfriend.

Stephen Gough and hairdresser Melanie Roberts, 33, will strip off and set out from Land's End in Cornwall, at the southeastern tip of England, on an 874-mile nude trek to John O'Groats in Scotland. )
