A terrible month. Visits dropped down from 7760 to 6006 but, worse, the average visit duration dropped from 165 seconds to 77 seconds. I do not wish to make excuses but there may be a couple of explanations which may or may not be linked. First glance shows that the biggest drop (of about one third) is by visitors from California. Things do go in fashions. We had a similar phenomenon a few months back with Ecuador. Visits suddenly shot up and then, after a few months, vanished. I came upon something else at the end of the month that most likely had an effect particularly on the visit duration. I was getting this months Photo Album ready to publish and I found out that I had missed making the link to the April Album so folk wanting to stay and look at photos just couldn't find them!

I discovered while using the Netcraft anti phishing toolbar( http://toolbar.netcraft.com/) that this site is more popular than that of New Zealand Radio. Some small consolation?
