What a busy month!

To start - a brand new page "Kidz have your SAY!" produced entirely by one of our youngsters, Helen Cooper. For a while now I have wanted a page for our younger people and I happened to mention it in Helen's hearing. A couple of weeks later, she contacted me with virtually the page as you will read it. If you have youngsters, direct them towards this page and get them to add their own input and make it something that they enjoy and own! If enough replies come in, Helen will be turning the page into a whole site which we will just link to.

Apology for April's missing Photo Album - see Journal Contents!

This month has seen some events which I have been able to photograph and try out my new camera. I am still getting used to it but I am quite pleased with the results so far. The

problem with digital cameras is that you are
not limited to 36 shots. I went out to film the veteran sports cars, stopped off to take a few shots of Clarence's lambs on the way home and then went to the St. Georges Day celebrations in the evening. When I came to download the photos to my computer I found I have taken just over 400 shots - all of which need editing.

May sees the continuation of the novel "Greyson" with Chapter Three on the 1st and Chapter Four on the 16th. Paula invented (and got her husband Bill to make) the 'Old English Runes' font which appears in the novel. I thought it might be fun for you to have a go at breaking the code, so am publishing the chapter headings using the font.

Sadly, this month also sees the last of the 'Yeti Sports' games pages. There are more of these games which you can download to your mobile phone if you follow the links on the page.

I am publishing an article from the Guardian newspaper "The March of Unreason" which puts the case for the other side of the current popular 'alternative/eco' movement. If nothing else it should prove thought provoking.

I've not got the site stats yet but early indications were that the 'California rush' is over. However, in terms of site ranking, you might like to use the anti phishing toolbar http://toolbar.netcraft.com/ and log onto this site and a few other local and national ones and compare popularity rank. I did and it cheered me up no end. Do you know that this site is twice as popular as that of the Office of The Deputy Prime Minister?

Lastly, there have been problems in making the record of the Church House restoration. See that website news published in early May.
