Well, the new Java menu didn't last very long - apologies to those of you who downloaded the latest Java software. It will come in handy for many other sites. What went wrong was that I had counted without all those folk who like to look at the site on their machines at work (of course, during their break times!) may firms don't have Java installed so they couldn't get into the site.
Hopefully now, I have achieved the same effect - that is a neater, more compact menu system, without the need for any extra software. Please let me know how you get on with this, the system is quite flexible for making changes! Looking back over the Archive issues, I am quite pleased how the look of the site has got far less brash.

This month see the start of a new departure for us, the serialization of the full length novel "Greyson". So that you wont be kept waiting too long for the next episode, I will be publishing a new chapter every two weeks. I have read it myself and found that the further you get into it the more it gains your attention.
There is an e-mail link at the end of each chapter so that you can let the author know what you thought of it.
I think I finally have got the site map how I would like it. If you would like to see what is on the whole site at a glance, have a look. You will find access to it at the bottom of the "Welcome Page". It does allow you to search for a word or phrase if you are looking for some particular item, maybe in the Archives. |
I am also re-introducing the link to "Alezane's Web", the site where the diary (and this site - look at the Archives) originated. I took the link out and put the diary here when that site changed to a static/occasionally updated one. It has now moved back to a more dynamic approach with lots of new items of interest to horse lovers. Give it another look.
The Church House restoration project has now moved from the planning and funding to the active building and renovation stage. Keep in touch with that site too, to watch the work as it progresses.
The clocks have sprung forward - springtime is here!
