Site Statistics

Overall our visit numbers are down and the duration of stay has dropped 26 seconds on average. One never knows the reason behind such changes but my own view is this. First, I expect a drop in visits to a site that is a mix of local and tourist information, at the end of the tourist season. Last month saw a noted drop on visits from Ecuador but a significant rise in visits from California. This, together with the drop in the average visit duration, suggests to me that while the purpose of the South American visits was to download photos, the North American visits are more out of curiosity, particularly as we seem to be getting many referrals from the US Ratamhatta site. What is nice is that the UK visits are up yet again this month!

Despite some activity from "The Big Dead Place", Antarctica still does not feature on our stats. I can only assume that the stats people do not bother to monitor there. However, it is good to know of such interesting and entertaining sites.
