New Beacon Villages Area Website Needed

Many people in the area now know that Carol and I (together with our three horses and three cats) are planning to move to France, as soon as our house is sold. We have put both a package of house in Ramsley Lane plus 7 acres along the Throwleigh Road or just the house on its own, on the market. If the house on its own is sold, we will put the field on the market once contracts for the house are signed. I know most people are not interested in these details but I give them so that those looking for some land only will know the position.
However, the purpose of this notice is to give advance notice that I will no longer be updating the Beacon Villages web site after the October issue so that anyone who is interested in producing a local web site, either for the whole area or just their own village, will have time to sort out the details.

I own several URLs ; www.beacon-villages.co.uk, www.south-zeal.co.uk, www.south-tawton.co.uk, www.cosdon.co.uk & www.cosdon-beacon.co.uk.

I am quite happy to give any of these to anyone who wants to start a local web site with just one proviso - that the site remains non-commercial and does not carry paid advertisements.

If no one comes along to take over the site, the core of Beacon Villages will stay much the same as it is but without the updates. I will be removing the photo album large photos to put on a new, more general site. Those that are not mine (Robin's, Sue's, Tom's etc.) I will be asking what they want to do with them and, if they are happy, I will keep them on a new, revamped Beacon Villages photo album.
I have enjoyed the last few years and would like to thank all those who contributed and all those who visited the site. I am sure whoever takes on the future provision of the local web site will get your support and go on to make it even more of a success.
