Silent Auction

Friends Of South Tawton Primary School

We would like to invite you to attend our Silent Auction on Saturday 4th December, which takes place at the Victory Hall, South Zeal

The doors will open at 7.30pm with the bidding starting at 8pm . A whistle will be blown at 9pm to signal 10 minutes to the close of bidding and all bidding will stop at 9.10pm

On arrival you obtain a bidding slip with your own personal number, which you write beside any item you wish to bid for, together with the amount offered. This can be updated throughout the bidding time with the last number on each sheet being the lucky purchaser!

There will be refreshments and a bar to include mulled wine and a barrel of beer. There will also be a raffle, which will take place after the bidding, while the accounts are prepared

( Donations gratefully received on the night or to the office in advance)

There will be a table specifically for the children - they will need their own bidding slip - bids increasing by 10p at a time.

The adults table will have both goods and promises with bids increasing by £1.

The 100 Club Draw for November and the Bumper Draw for December will take place at 10pm .

If you have any queries please speak to Sue in the office.

We look forward to seeing you - it is a fun and enjoyable evening - please come along and support us

•  Offers of a plate of cold finger buffet food either sweet or savoury would be welcome.

•  Items for the auction - goods or promises/skills - Please let Sue know in the office as soon as possible to allow her to prepare a full list of items for distribution. Thank you.

•  Items for the luxury Christmas hamper may be brought to school no later than 2 weeks prior to the auction. Perhaps 2/3 friends could club together to buy something a 'bit special' or just add 1 item to your usual shopping list !

•  Items for the children's table, including small presents for them to give their parents, may be brought to school in the week before the auction.

•  Raffle Prizes would be most welcome.

Vote by Proxy!

If you are unable to attend on Saturday and you would be interested in bidding for one or more of the many lots on offer, you can do so by completing sending Proxy Bid e-mail.

Simply enter your details*& and send to admin@southtawton.devon.sch.uk before 3pm on Friday 3rd.

The final price paid for each lot is determined in the usual bid and counter bid manner with bids rising in £1 units. If yours is the final bid at 'whistle blowing' time the lot is yours and the cost may not even have reached your maximum offer.

A member of the committee will register your bids and if you are successful you will be notified during the following week.

Payment must be taken to South Tawton School (cheques made payable to FOSTCPS) and items collected as arranged with the School Secretary.
