While messing about on the web the other day, I followed up a lead from the word ‘Sticklepath’ and found myself on a site called
http://www.beerintheevening.com
which listed the Taw River and the Devvy and mentioned the Ox as being nearby. On closer examination, it turns out that this site accepts nominations from members of the public (you and me not house) for pubs to be added to the site. Further, it invites comments about the pubs, which it states, it will not only publish but pass on by e-mail to those interested.
When I looked further, I saw that some people had nominated the above three pubs but none of them had any comments, as yet. A further search produced the fact that no one had nominated the Tors, Kings Arms or Seven Stars. I can’t help thinking that there must be enough supporters out there to ensure that all six of our locals are not only put on the map but also have some very positive feed back produced.
It appears to be simple and free to register as a member so I will give you some idea of what to expect and the rest is up to you!
