I say 'on the whole' because whilst the Folk Festival and the Sticklepath Flower Show and other local events have already become rosy memories of sunny warmth, colour and enjoyment, not so, in that way, the Friday night Cider Evening: cold, blustery wind and rain - in mid-August.
Still, if there was a celestial message that should have been drawn from this I am afraid it was soon forgotten in the general conviviality that gradually spread during the cider evening and infected those who were there so that the memories - shaky memories perhaps - are still very pleasant and rosy, weather notwithstanding.
As to other matters, well, to my great relief there was also just enough time to make hay while the sun shone.
You will find pictures of the Folk Festival; the Cider Event; the Sticklepath Flower Show; and Hay Making by clicking on the pictures in this page.
Except for the Sticklepath pictures they are all mine, and hence they reflect what I saw and did and not necessarily what you saw and did. I notice plenty of other people taking photographs and it would be good if these could be posted on this website as well as any old nonsense that I do.
